Pascal ANCEY
Above IC & Derivatives Program Manager
STMicroelectronics – Crolles

Pascal Ancey received the M.S degree from INSA, France in 1990 and the PhD degree in microelectronics, in 1997, from University Paris 7 for his thesis on micro-sensor for humidity and condensation measurement.

In 1991, he joined the IMRA Centre as R&D engineer to develop thermoelectric material & oscillator. From 1996 to 1999, he became responsible of thermo-mechanics team where he was involved in the development of sensors and actuators for automotive applications in collaboration with Toyota & Valeo.

In 2000, he joined STMicroelectronics - Front-end Technology Manufacturing group where he manages the advanced R&D team “Above IC & derivatives”. He is responsible of the development of advanced integrated Passive Components (high-k decoupling capacitor, high-Q inductor), RF-MEMS (micro switch, variable capacitor, electromechanical resonator...) and BAW devices (FBAR & SMR architecture, filter & duplexer, coupled resonator filter…). He is also in charge of the development of various integration strategies such as System on Chip (above IC, embedded, SOI & SON platforms for MEMS….) or System in Package (wafer scale packaging, 3D packaging, RF module …).

He is the coordinator of the European project MARTINA related to the development of above IC FBAR resonator and filter and the technical manager of the two European Integrated Projects: MIMOSA related to the development of Microsystems platform for mobile services & applications and MINAMI related to the Micro-Nano integrated platform for transverse Ambient Intelligence applications. He also actively participates to EURIMUS funded projects such as EPADIMD related to the platform for advanced active implantable medical devices, including new RF devices as BAW filters.

He is author or co-author of about 50 scientific papers and of 30 international patents.
