The 15th International Micromachine Nanotech Symposium was successfully
held.
This yearfs symposium was concurrently held with Exhibition Micromachine /MEMS on July 29th, Wednesday, 2009 at the same place as the exhibition.

We offered opportunities of presentations and discussions in the symposium under a theme of gMEMS/NEMS evolved by integration and convergence ~ Breakthrough for industrialization, Concentration of R&D activities into several major international institutes and Promising applications~.
We are convinced that current MEMS devices will evolve in direction of convergence with LSI, Nano, and Bio. In that way, one of the questions to answer is that what is the breakthrough to accelerate their commercialization under current strict economical environment. We look at movement of concentration of R&D activities into several major international institutes like IMEC, Fraunhofer, or Leti taking place. Also, we know killer applications quite crucial for commercialization. From such views, we arranged the program.
History
This "Micromachine/Nanotech Symposium" aims to contribute to the advancement of Micromachine technology by referring to the latest technological information as well as the direction of the technological movement that brought here by experts who are studying forefront technologies in micro/nano field.
The symposium originally started as the "International Micromachine
Symposium" from 1995 to establish and disseminate the Micromachine
technologies by presenting R&D results of the national project.
From the eighth in 2002, the symposium organizes as International Micromachine/Nanotech
Symposium that has the subtitle of "Micro systems implicated nanotechnology
makes the Foundation of Industrial Technology in the next generation"
by expanding the scope from micro to nano to integrate the nano into micro
technology.
Micromachine Center hopes that your inspiration catches quickly something,
which is needed to solve the problem or remove obstacle in your research
or in your business development.
